Privacy Policy

Nymix is built privacy-first. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the control you keep over it. If anything's unclear, email support@getnymix.com.

1Information we collect

• Profile details — name, age, gender, photos, bio and prompt answers you add.
• Account & sign-in — via Google or Apple; and a phone number where verification is required.
• Verification data — a live selfie and liveness signals used only to confirm you're a real person (see §4).
• Approximate location — a coarse, blurred area used for Discover and Crossed Paths (see §3).
• Activity — likes, matches, messages, Truth or Dare posts, and basic device/app diagnostics.

2How we use your information

• To show you relevant people and let you match and chat.
• To confirm real identities and keep fake or banned accounts out.
• To power Crossed Paths, Nearby and Truth or Dare.
• To keep Nymix safe — moderation, spam and abuse prevention, and responding to reports.
• To fix bugs and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.

3Location & Crossed Paths

• Location is opt-in and can be turned off any time in settings or your device.
• We snap your position to a coarse grid (roughly 300 m) and add random jitter — we never show your exact coordinates to other members.
• Distance is shown only as an approximate area and a "crossed" recency label, never a precise number.

4Face & liveness verification

• Verification uses a live face check to confirm a real, present person — earning your verified tick.
• It is used strictly to prevent fake profiles and catfishing. It is not used for advertising.
• Verification media is access-controlled and only ever served through short-lived, signed links.

5Who we share with

• Other members — only what you choose to show on your profile (and in Truth or Dare, only the identity mode you pick: open, blurred or anonymous).
• Service providers — vetted partners for verification, cloud hosting, crash reporting and analytics, bound by contract.
• Legal & safety — where required by law or to protect members from harm.

6How long we keep data

• Truth or Dare posts auto-delete after 7 days.
• Secure photos in chat are view-once / timer-based and are not retained after viewing.
• Your account data is kept while your account is active. Delete your account and we remove or anonymise your personal data, keeping only what safety or law requires.

7Your choices & rights

• Access, edit or delete your profile at any time in the app.
• Turn location, notifications and verification prompts on or off.
• Block or report anyone; request account deletion from Settings.
• Contact support@getnymix.com to exercise data rights available in your region.

8Age requirement

Nymix is strictly for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow minors, and we remove any account we find to be under 18. Report concerns to support@getnymix.com.

9Security & changes

• Passwords are hashed, sessions are protected, and sensitive media is served only through signed, expiring links.
• We may update this policy; material changes will be highlighted in-app. Continued use means you accept the current version.
